ಧನುರ್ಮಾಸ||Dhanurmaasa CORRECTION

Dhanurmaasa
(15th December to 15th January)
Devasthana Timings: 5am -8.30am
About Dhanurmasa: As Sun transits through Dhanur Rashi (Sagarittus) it is called as Dhanur Maasa. This maasa will be observed from Dec15th to January 14- 15th. During this month, the sun transits the Dhanur Rasi until it enters the Makara Rashi during the end of this month on the Makara Sankranthi day.

The Dhanur masa puja and Abhishekha is considered very auspicious and done in all the temples for the welfare of the people at dawn time during the Margashirsha month.During this period pooja is offered early in the morning before Sunrise. It is believed that the puja performed during the entire month of mArgashIrSha before sUryodayam (sunrise) at the Usha kalam for all the Gods with AbhiShekam and offering in nivedhyam pongal would bring welfare for the village, the creatures and animals and people living in that area.


Ganapathi Abhishekha: 5am daily
Navagraha Abhishekha: 5.45am daily





 
Vaikuntaha Ekadashi Visesha Pooja: Sunday, 8th January
Makara Sankranthi Visesha Pooja: Saturday, 14th January
Pongal Visesha Pooja: Sunday, 15th January

Aneesh V Bhat is a well known name to be reckoned with in the field of Carnatic classical music in southern part of Karnataka. He is a disciple of Vid. Kanchana A Ishwara Bhat. He started performing on stage at the tender age of 9 and thereafter presented a number of concerts in and around Karnataka. Now, at the age of 22, he is undergoing Vidvath level training in both Vocal and Mridangam category of Carnatic classical music. He has secured many awards such as ‘TR Krishnan Memorial young talent award’ from Sangeetha Parishath. He qualified the State level in “Naad Bhed-The mystery of sound, a reality show organized by SPICMACAY and Doordarshan which was held in DD Kendra.


Anuthama Murali is the disciple of Kalaimamani A. Kanyakumari. She is an All India Radio Violinist. She is undergoing advanced training under Kalaimamani A. Kanyakumari since 2000. She has learned violin from renowned gurus in Mumbai like Shri S.V. Ramachandran and Shri Ramachandra Sarma. She has done her M.Phil in Karnatik Vocal music from the University of Madras. She is a recipient of many awards and scholarships such as Central Government Scholarship (Department of Culture) awardee for the years 2002-04. Recipient of the Suryasekhara scholarship and the Muthukrishna Yateendra. She has performed at many sabhas, also on Doordarshan and AIR.


G S Nagaraj has been performing since the age of 10 yrs. He started his Mridangam traning from Vid. H L Gopalakrishna and later his search for a profound Guru's ended with Vid. B N Chandramouli and Vid. Tiruvarur Bhaktavatsalam who are devoted and dedicated to this art. G S Nagaraj is an A graded artist from All India Radio, and has performed in India and abroad with all renowned senior artists like R K Srikantan, Kadri Gopalnath, Maharajapuram Ramachandran, O S Thyagarajan, Rudrapattnam Brothers and many others. He is also a very well known Kanjeera Player and is a recipient of many awards. He is also a very motivated Teacher and has been training many Students for quite some time.
